I’ve been meaning to update my blog for at least two weeks to share all of my antics but I’ve ended up being too busy to write about them!
I went to London with my boyfriend to see The Specials at Brixton Academy as part of his birthday present (which was in January). We decided to each take the day off work and make a day of it, so we firstly went for traditional bangers and mash at Mother Mash just off Carnaby Street. I don’t eat meat so I went for the veggie option of vegetarian sausages, cheddar champ mash with mushy peas and gravy. It was amazing. Rob loved his pork and leek sausage version too.
Next we decided to go for a little wander around the streets of Soho where we saw an inconspicuous looking Ray Winstone (complete with the cliched sunglasses). We then got the tube to South Kensington and went to the Science Museum. It wasn’t actually as I remembered it when I last went 10 years or so ago, but it wasn’t a bad afternoon, considering entrance is free. Although we had forgotten that it was half term so we were also joined by crowds of screaming kids!
