Packing the baby’s hospital bag has been far more exciting than my own! (If you missed my post on what I’ve packed in my own hospital bag, find it here).
I’ve loved washing all the baby’s things and getting everything ready for him so it’s been lovely putting everything into his changing bag. It made it all feel that bit more real.
I’ve been told we’ll have to stay in the hospital for monitoring for at least 24 hours so I’ve tried to pack enough for at least a day, including a few outfit changes in the case of explosive poos!
- Nappy wipes
- Nappy bags
- Cotton wool pads
- Sleeveless vests (x3)
- Short-sleeved vest
- Long-sleeved vest
- Baby gros (x5)
- Scratch mitts
- Blanket (crocheted by my mum!)
- Baby towel
- Teddy blanket
I nearly packed a bottle and some bottles of ready-made formula in case I’m unable to breastfeed (I’d like to but I’m flexible about it so if I can’t it’s not the end of the world). But I’ve been told that if we need formula the hospital will provide it, I hope that’s right or Rob will be nipping out to get some!
We also have the car seat already installed in the car – as they won’t let you leave the hospital without it.
