At the weekend I went up to Northampton for my dad’s wedding day. It was held in the garden of a community café in a park – there were two marquees set up alongside a tepee, bouncy castle and other children’s entertainment.
You may remember I was contemplating outfits as I was unsure what the unpredictable September weather would bring, and boy am I pleased that I bought a new long-sleeved and multi-layer outfit! The day was lovely, sunny and without rain, but the temperature dropped in the evening and I would have been freezing in a little summery sleeveless number.

It was a really informal, relaxed day too – no table plans and set menu, instead there was a vegan buffet (I made a Thai coconut curry which you may have seen if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook). I actually made that so I knew that there’d be at least one thing I could eat but there was actually loads of low FODMAP and gluten-free food, I ate loads of delicious curries and salads. Even Rob, a life-long meat eater was happy!
The day also posed the opportunity to catch up with family I haven’t seen in about twenty years so there was a lot of catching up, reminiscing and hugging!
