Another week has flown by and it’s nearly May… where does the time go?
I hope you’ve all had a great week. Here’s what happened in mine… I’ve been:
Feeling: Like a tit trying to find my way into the Brighton Youth Centre for a skating session. I couldn’t get into the building. I actually couldn’t find an entrance that was unlocked and spent about 10 minutes walking round and round the building in a circle re-trying all the doors in case they’d magically unlocked themselves. Are young people too cool to use doors now? I must have looked like an old fool
Eating: Quite a few stir fries with chicken and rice noodles. Delicious, healthy(ish) and ready in 10 mins!
Scoffing: Rhubarb crumble and drinking my own body weight in double cream
Cross training: By doing some core exercises, squats, lunges, Zumba and Pilates alongside skating training (this has been very necessary following all the crumble and cream)
Listening: To more podcasts. This week it’s been Scroobius Pip’s Distraction Pieces with Danny Wallace and Eddy Temple-Morris and The Tim Ferriss Show. I’ve really enjoyed both – particularly the Distraction Pieces and I look forward to my daily drives to and from work to listen to them!
Tricking: The neighbourhood cats into thinking there’s a rival in the garden (see photo). I call him Fred
