As I was walking home from work yesterday I noticed that a new restaurant has opened in The Lanes called 64 Degrees. I’ve seen it being done up for about a month or so and it’s in the old spot of Tic Toc Cafe – but this was the first day I had seen it open.
From what I gather from the website, it’s owned by Michael Bremner, head chef of Due South which was on Brighton seafront. 64 degrees had a pop-up restaurant on Ship Street in June, and claims to “fuse molecular cooking techniques, sophisticated flavours and local produce in a modern tapas-style menu, which has: ‘no limits in culinary terms, drawing together influences from global street food to molecular gastronomy to urban fast food.'”
It has a menu in the window which I took a photo of – and if you check out the holding image on the site currently, it gives you a good idea of what it looks like inside.
I’m looking forward to trying it out!
